When appropriate, we help connect the individual with available peer support services, groups, resources, and community opportunities.

Capturing Hearts provides peer support services that may be covered by Medicaid for eligible individuals, depending on eligibility, service requirements, and applicable coverage.

Who can make a referral?

Does someone need to be in recovery to receive peer support?
No. Our services can support individuals navigating mental health concerns, substance use, recovery, wellness, life challenges, and community connection.
What is peer support?
Peer support is support provided by people with lived experience who understand aspects of the challenges another person may be facing. It focuses on connection, encouragement, empowerment, shared understanding, and helping individuals work toward their own goals.
Are services available for individuals with mental health challenges?
Yes. Capturing Hearts provides peer-centered support for individuals navigating emotional and mental health challenges.
Do you provide substance use and recovery support?
Yes. We provide nonjudgmental peer support for individuals at different stages of their recovery journey.
Is peer support the same as therapy?
No. Peer support and clinical therapy are different types of services. Peer support focuses on shared experience, connection, encouragement, empowerment, and practical support. If someone needs clinical or emergency care, appropriate professional services should be contacted.
Does Capturing Hearts accept Medicaid?
